Transferring a domain name is a quick process. Once you’ve completed a few steps (like making sure the domain is unlocked, and approving the transfer), the rest of the process is taken care automatically by both registrars. The registrars do their automation parts to complete your transfer which can take up to 7 business days.
Depending on your domain extension it may take from a day to max 7 days. For example, most .uk and .nl domain transfers take usually take less than 48 hours, whereas other top level domains may take longer.
It's something we do not control from our side. Please make sure the domain is transferred minimum 7 days before the expiration day in order to prevent any downtime. Otherwise, it's best to renew the domain so you have plenty of time to transfer it to another registrar.
Please note that we can only investigate issues if a transfer did not complete after 7 days.
